It leads to the Emancipation area.

The 'Emancipation room' at the end of the hallway corridor also has pictures on the wall from years between 1996 and 2000.
You get to see the following videos:
- Emancipation free at last TV performance from the Emancipation era,
- an excerpt from the CNN interview from 1999,
- Rave un2 year 2000 Nothing compares 2 U.

Handwritten press conference notes are displayed. The handwritten document was most likely written in 1999. Four points are written on those notes:
1/ Dec 31, 1999: the contract with Warner Bros expires. Possible to use the name 'Prince' again.
2/ a few lines about Arista records and a possible collaboration.
3/ NPG to release an internet only album Rave.
4/ A celebration is to take place every summer after his birthday.

The 'Emancipation room' leads to a lounge on the other side of the glass windows where you can find the piano from Rave un2 the year 2000 and a yellow sofa. There are only 14 pianos like this one in the world. The Rainbow children artwork is located behind the piano. A wooden chair sits near the piano. The chair is from Bloomington and can be called the "Minnesota chair". The lounge gives access to a balcony. If you look outside the balcony, you will see the Prince tour bus.
The next stop in the tour is the soundstage. There are 5 stages representing different eras:
  • Emancipation: piano, green pullover, bass
  • Hitnrun 2014/2015 stage
  • Musicology
  • 3121 & planet earth stage
  • piano and microphone stage

A big screen plays several videos:
  • uncirculating concert footage from somewhere between 2009 and 2011
  • a sample from the Sacrifice of Victor video (London 1993 aftershow)
  • Rave un2 the year 2000 (let's go crazy if my memory serves me well)
  • a video from the piano and microphone tour shot in the same room.

Two cars are available in the room as well:
  • 1 blue car: a 2006 Bentley Continental G1, made in the UK
  • 1 purple car: a 1999 Plymouth Prowler, made in the USA
Ultimate visitors get to the opportunity to enjoy the 'archive experience' and hold a guitar from Prince's collection. Your group sits on a sofa where you can drink and enjoy a smoothie. The director from Paisley Park Tours leads this part of the visit and thanks you for your support by visiting Paisley Park. In order to access the guitar, you walk passed a table with:
  • 3rd eye girl glasses
  • My name is Prince hat with chains, black colour with the love symbol on the front

The guitar I was lucky and happy to hold was the bass from the video 'Why you wanna treat me so bad' and 'the most beautiful girl in the world'. The bass was exhibited in the 'My name is Prince' exhibition.

It is the 3rd guitar from the left, i.e. the guitar just on the right of the display which looks like a table.

The tour ends in the NPG Music club room. Depending on the tour format & the day you attend, you will have a different experience.

On the way out, you have the shop and a big screen playing the full Superbowl performance with the jacket Prince was wearing that night next to it.
