Paisley Park, the Prince studios, are a place many people with an interested in Prince want to visit. It is around Minneapolis, the studios were originally built for Prince, Prince recorded many albums here, he kept it as his base... Long distance treveling means it can be expensive and require a budget. With this idea in mind, I had accepted that I may never have the opportunity to make it to Paisley Park. It was one of the reasons for trying to make the most of the exhibition in London when I attended it on Saturday 9 December, 2017.
The Prince Estate & Paisley Park had organized an exhibition of Prince guitars, outfits from several eras, awards and handwritten items to be exhibited in London. This event was then moved to Amsterdam. I was long way from imagining that, not only I would manage to make it to Paisley Park, but within the next 12 months. My trip to Paisley Park and Minneapolis has been very precious to me, especially as I know that there are people who would love to attend the museum but are not able to.
My main motivation for flying to Minneapolis was to visit Paisley Park. It is why I had planned one visit every day (except Wednesday because Paisley Parks is closed for visits on Wednesdays). Every other activity would be a bonus. I did want to look at downtown Minneapolis if time permitted it.
I have written this website in order to be able to share my experience, and hopefully answer questions you may have about Paisley Park. Please note that I do recommend you do not read the transcript of my visits of Paisley Park before going there yourself, because it could remove the surprise of discovering what you will find in the museum, and spoil the visit.
